On June 14, the SMART business team at a large-scale showroom of Ukrainian software SVOE.IT demonstrated a pool of its own solutions based on AI and modern Microsoft technologies for effective management of business processes.
The event was set up last fall and is an initiative of Ukrainian IT companies aiming at popularizing Ukrainian software and refusing from russian software products.
Volodymyr Bielov, Country Manager Ukraine in Giga Cloud, a strategic partner of the event, noted in his opening speech: “The choice of Ukrainian software is a self-investment. This is an investment in the reliability, safety and technology of business, because dozens of high-quality solutions that meet business needs have already been created in Ukraine and are in demand around the world.”
This year’s initiative brought together 50 leading software developers from all over the country as participants, as well as more than 2 thousand attendees. It can be said without exaggeration that the event has already become a key industry platform for demonstrating Ukrainian innovative solutions. During the day, participants on two stages talked about the functionality and benefits of their software products. And right there, at the booths, guests and participants of the event had the opportunity to test this software.
The focus was on ERP, CRM, HRM, document management systems, procurement and supply chain management, financial management, HR and payroll, as well as niche solutions. In particular, this is software for call centers, payment systems, solutions for businesses operating in the field of agricultural production, healthcare, logistics and for restaurateurs.
The SMART business team presented Ukrainian business with a set of solutions based on Microsoft products, machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies. Their key purpose is to automate various business processes and remove operational restrictions for rapid scaling and improving the efficiency of the business as a whole.
The main message with which we came to the Ukrainian business community: the use of a holistic Microsoft platform or a combination of customized services based on it, as well as the use of artificial intelligence, is an opportunity to quickly respond to changes and build a reliable IT ecosystem for efficient operation and scaling.
IT ecosystem of solutions from SMART business based on Microsoft products for your business
SMART Accounting allows you to maintain accounting and tax accounting taking into account international standards and in accordance with the requirements of local legislation. This is also an opportunity for businesses to scale and easily unify in the reporting systems of other regions.
SMART Payroll is a solution for convenient and effective HR and payroll processes. Allows you to automate personnel management, meets local legislation and labor standards and takes into account their current changes thanks to regular updates and system support.
SMART CRM is a comprehensive platform for automating sales, marketing and service. It allows you to:

SmartPoint DMS is a system for automating document management processes. The product provides the ability to customize the company’s document flow in strict accordance with the requirements of current legislation and at the same time guarantees a high level of data protection.

Microsoft 365 Copilot is a tool that uses artificial intelligence and is an indispensable assistant when performing work tasks in Microsoft 365 apps. In particular, it will help to significantly reduce the time spent on data analysis and simplify the process of generating various reports.
With Copilot in Dynamics 365, it’s easy to automate inventory tracking across all retail locations and set up staff notifications for low or overstocked inventory. Copilot for Customer Insights will save staff the time needed to create personalized offers for customers based on their purchasing history.

The SMART business’ booth was very popular among visitors. In most cases, they came not for individual products, but with their own problems: when outdated software was hindering growth because it required too much “manual work” or when programs for automating related business processes “conflicted” because they were written exclusively for specific tasks.
Some of the visitors were the company’s customers who have already implemented one or more solutions from SMART business. They shared user experiences and considered options for future upgrades. The rest were just deciding and comparing proposals. However, the level of expertise of our team and the range of offers in our portfolio left no room for doubt that we had the optimal solution. Therefore, some of these dialogues gave rise to further communication to develop a roadmap for the implementation of certain solutions.
Ukrainian CRM based on the Microsoft platform: a reliable tool for sales, marketing and service
Denys Shevchuk, Product Owner of SMART CRM in SMART business, in his presentation, using the example of our SMART CRM development, explained in detail why the solutions from our team are unique in the Ukrainian software market.
It’s simple: being the title partner of Microsoft in Ukraine, SMART business implements all the products that the global vendor has in its portfolio. However, as a Ukrainian company with 15 years of experience in the market, it adapts them to local conditions as much as possible. According to Denys Shevchuk, SMART business is a localization guru. Why? Because for us, adapting our own solutions for business has long been not just about localization to the appropriate language and the requirements of current legislation and tax regulations. In our products we implement scenarios that are demanded by local businesses.
Thus, localization in the case of CRM included the task of making it simpler and more understandable for the Ukrainian consumer and implementing the most popular scenarios for working with it.
In SMART CRM, based on the Microsoft Power Platform, we implemented the three most popular sales scenarios – the so-called big sales, short sales and customer service – and began to integrate them with services that are popular in Ukraine. This is our strategy, because a CRM system, which is made for the whole world, knows nothing, say, about Viber, which Ukrainian clients are comfortable using while communicating with retail.
Thus, the platform took upon itself security, control of data flows and compliance with international standards. And our team focused on studying business needs and customizing our solutions.
In particular, having discovered that today the priority of many companies is the ability to receive and make calls in CRM, in our product we first implemented it thanks to an API connector of the Binotel IP telephony provider. Subsequently, using the same principle, we built integration with Ringostat and the GMS/Infobip providers, which provide business tools for bulk and trigger mailings.
SMART CRM also includes the ability to quickly pay for orders thanks to the SMART connector for PayPal, and integration with UAPAY, Mono Pay and the Polish payment service Przelewy24 is underway.
A guarantee of prompt processing of orders is the implementation of API connectors for popular delivery services: SMART connector for Nova Poshta and SMART connector for Ukrposhta, and less than a month is left until the launch of the Rozetka connector. These are convenient and common services for Ukrainian businesses and their clients. And this is an example of real localization from SMART business.
But our solutions are not just an opportunity for businesses to feel confident in the Ukrainian business ecosystem. This is also an opportunity to scale quickly and easily, including in foreign markets.
For example, Nova Poshta chose SMART Sales and SMART Customer Care when it decided to scale up in the Polish market. Today we can talk about the success of the project. So, the story about implementing SMART business’ products is about how to act locally while thinking globally.
To summarize, we’d like to note that participation in SVOE.IT was primarily an opportunity for us to demonstrate our products in action and exchange experiences with industry colleagues and partners. It was also a great chance for networking and establishing new partnerships.
And for businesses, this was a great opportunity to learn about solutions that will help them be more predictable, and therefore manageable, even in conditions of maximum instability.
The mutual benefit is obvious. So, as soon as the summer session of SVOE.IT ended, we began to work to expand our own portfolio of offers for the next event.
